Most of us live very busy lives, which can sometimes put a green coffee diet and a regular fitness regimen on the back burner. Between the demands of work, spending time with your family, running errands, preparing meals and trying to fit in a bit of alone time, we sometimes tend to skip out on 30 minutes of exercise each day that is recommended by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

However, it appears that for women living in the U.S., the demands of daily life are cutting into their exercise in alarmingly unhealthy ways. According to a new study that was published in the Mayo Clinic Proceedings, obese women only receive around one hour of exercise per year, when most individuals should be getting fitness around 150 minutes per week.

Is a modern workforce to blame?
According to Medical Daily, there are several reasons why this phenomenon keeps occurring. Even 50 years ago, there were enough manual labor jobs that gave plenty of people enough vigorous exercise, so the need for treadmills and gym memberships were obsolete. However, in today's increasingly modern world, many of us have chosen professions that actually use the tools that are being built rather than making them. This leads to a lot of desksitting - not exactly the best thing for your garcinia cambogia supplement.

For some, sitting is their constant "default" position. People will sit down when they work, go out, come home and lie down when they go to sleep without doing much movement at all. Add on an unhealthy diet, and you have a recipe made for disaster that usually results in obesity.

"They're living their lives from one chair to another," Edward Archer, a research fellow with the Nutrition Obesity Research Center at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, said in Health Day. "We didn't realize we were that sedentary. There are some people who are vigorously active, but it's offset by the huge number of individuals who are inactive."
