CrossFit 101
CrossFit is an exercise regimen that was created by Greg Glassman, a former gymnast and personal trainer. While it's true that these workouts are so short that you can do them first thing in the morning or during your lunch break, keep in mind that you will be working at a high-impact, high-intensity rate. Only 5 to 20 minutes of the actual workouts are focused on cardio or strength training - the rest of the fitness sessions are broken down into warming up and stretching. Not a single minute in these workouts is wasted. It's safe to say that there will be some sweat and burn involved if you decide to make CrossFit a part of your exercise regimen.

The great thing about CrossFit is there are many types of exercise strategies you can perform, from kid-friendly programs to rowing to gymnastics. Yes, you can even use football-inspired warm-ups to get in shape using CrossFit. There are also several weight loss nutrition techniques that CrossFit experts can help you with as part of the regimen.

Other 20-minutes-or-less workouts
Of course, this kind of exercise isn't for everyone on a weight loss plan, especially if you enjoy a relaxing pace, like to run or have an ailment that keeps you from doing high-impact moves, such as arthritis. However, if you want a quick-paced workout, there are other options you can try.
