Avoid high-fat options

Researchers looked at 119,000 people, recording what they ate and the causes of death among the about 27,000 participants who died during the course of the study. The findings revealed that those who ate more nuts were less likely to die from heart disease, cancer and respiratory disease. The varieties used in this study included almonds, pistachios, cashews, Brazil nuts, macadamias, walnuts, peanuts and pecans.
