Most of us have a sweet tooth and sometimes it can be hard to fend off. However, a new study by the University of Minnesota found that people who work in disorganized spaces are more likely to choose unhealthy snacks than those in organized workspaces.

The goal of the study was to see how people are affected by orderliness. To complete the study, 34 Dutch students were assigned to a neat or messy office and then given the option of choosing an apple or chocolate bar on their way out the door.

According to the results of the study, people who are in an organized workspace are more likely to make decisions that are good for them.

The best healthy snacks
If you're looking to make the change to more healthy snacks as you move to a more organized workspace, try some of these healthy snacks.

For something that will really satisfy your taste buds, try some sliced tomatoes with feta cheese and olive oil or for something to give you the caffeine fix you need order a tall skinny latte from Starbucks. This drink contains 10 grams of protein and one-third of your daily calcium needs.

If you're in need of a mid-afternoon snack, eat a banana for a generous potassium boost. A half cup of edamame is full of protein and can help you feel full longer.

Those who don't have time for breakfast but still want to get something in their bellies should try the regular instant oatmeal for fiber and protein. Get the calcium you need from a fruity flavor of light yogurt

For the perfect appetizer, try eight shrimp and 4 tablespoons of cocktail sauce. You can easily fight off hunger that strikes after lunch with two sticks of light string cheese snacks for some added protein.

Forget about the calories when eating half a cantaloupe. This fruit not only contains a lot of water but also beta-carotene.

You can also try adding garcinia cambogia extract or green coffee bean extract in combination with a healthy diet and exercise for help with weight loss.
